Not only being a woman but also belonging to a marginalized group makes the discrepancy even more stark. Also according to the International Labour Organization, women who want to work still have a tougher time securing a job compared to their male counterparts, especially in Arab states and Northern Africa. ![]() According to the International Labour Organization, only 47 percent of women participate in the global workforce, while men participate at a rate of 72 percent. While we have certainly made strides in the opportunities given to women, we still have a long way to go not only in the U.S. ![]() Women's power and greatness is evident everywhere you look-in leadership roles at their job, organizing protests and campaigns to change the world, waking up every day and continuing to break ground in spaces that were not created with them in mind, and still might be anything but welcoming. ![]()
